Langer Woodcraft is a small one man shop in Wisconsin. I make everything here myself. I buy the wood, make the pieces, take the pictures, and sweep the floor. I don't have any computer controlled machines or a laser or a 3-d printer. I just use common tools and my hands to make beautiful clocks and boxes. Quality is more important to me then quantity. I enjoy designing the piece, selecting the wood with the best grain pattern, fussing over the details, and especially sanding and applying finish. This is when it really comes to life and takes on its own unique character. The evidence of being hand crafted is on everything I make. My hands can't make every piece exactly the same or perfect. That's what makes each piece special. It's not a good way to make money, but I enjoy every minute that I spend in my shop creating beautiful things with my hands.
